One of the highlights of trekking the Manaslu Circuit is the side trips to Serang Gompa. Located in the northern corner of Bhi and Ghap villages, Serang Gompa sits at the foot of Mount Shringi Himal. Often referred to as the "Heaven of Earth," this serene spot is surrounded by a beautiful rhododendron forest, offering a peaceful environment for visitors.
On our acclimatization day in Sama Gaon village, we will take a side trip to Puggen Tal, Punggen Glacier, and Pung Gyen Gompa, which are some of the most attractive stops along the Manaslu Circuit Trek route. Additionally, we will visit Mount Manaslu Base Camp and Birendra Tal (Birendra Lake).

Detailed Itinerary for the Manaslu Circuit Trek 20 Days.
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1335 meters).
A representative from Visit Himalaya Treks with the company’s display board will greet you outside the arrival terminal and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation.
A full-day guided tour to several of the historical and spiritual attractions listed under the World Heritage Sites.

After the sightseeing tour, the trek leader will meet the group for a briefing and provide a detailed briefing on the trek. All the required information regarding the trek will be provided.
Day 03: Drive to Barpak village (1915 meters).
After breakfast, we start our driving journey to Barpak village in the Gorkha district. Leaving the KTM city behind, we will drive through the rural settlements along the Prithvi highway, crossing the Marsyangdi river, and enter to Gorkha district. Just before Gorkha Bazaar, from the Barah Kilo, we follow the newly constructed road to Barpak village, which will lead us to the lovely and biggest Gurung village in the Gorkha district of Nepal. This hillside area is the epicenter of the deadly earthquake that shocked Nepal on 25th April 2015. Reaching Barpak village, we will stay at a Local tea house, Lodge that will help to revive the local economy. (About 7 -8 hours’ drive)
Day 04: Trek to Laprak (2100 meters).
After breakfast, we trek to Laprak village. The day starts with a moderate climb uphill through the forest. Ascending to Bhosu Kang Hill, 2800 meters, provides a super view of Ganesh Himal and Boudha Himal. From here, the downhill trail leads us to Laprak village via Gupsi Danda. We will stay overnight at a newly constructed local house; the homestay overnight at Laprak village 4 -5 hour trek.
Day 05: Trek to Khorla Besi (970 meters).
After breakfast, we trek to Khorla Besi, a gently downhill trail leads us to Singla village, and now from Singla village uphill trail leads to Khorla village. Now we are connected with the Budhi Gandaki valley, where we will follow our 2-week journey up to Larkya La Pass. Arriving at Khorla Besi, we stop here for a night and stay overnight at the tea house, about a 7-hour trek.
Day 06: Trek to Philim. (1570 meters).
After breakfast, we will trek along the Budhi Gandaki via Tatopani, to check out the hot spring is followed by a steep climb through Dobhan. The trail drops down into the banks of the Yaru Khola at Yaru Beshi, and continues, followed by a couple of good climbs until Jagat, and the path gets steep near Sirdibas and after crossing a dramatic suspension bridge, another good climb leads to a beautiful village of Phillim, one of the biggest villages en route Manaslu Circuit trekking route. Stay overnight at Phillim about 6-7 hours.
Day 07: Trek to Bihi Phedi. (1990 meters)
The trail steadily gains height and heads into a new valley. The path gets steeper for a while and then steadies near Pewa. After Pewa, another uphill walk continues for the rest of the day, leading us to a wonderful village, Deng. The change in culture can be experienced in Deng. The people, culture, and houses in the villages of Deng and Bihi Phedi are heavily influenced by Tibetans and completely differ from the people and their culture from those lower in the valley. (7-8 hours)
Day 08: Trek to Serang Gumba (3042 meters).
Today we will trek to the north of Bihi village, a hidden heaven, Serang Gompa many trekkers miss this heaven of earth, where you will stay overnight at the Buddhist Monastery, lap of Shringi Himal stay overnight Serang Gumba about 5-6 hours.
Day 09: Trek to Ghap (2160 meters).
Enjoy a worship Puja in the monastery with Buddhist monks, have a late breakfast, and trek to Ghap with a full heart and life-changing memories from this Serang Gompa. Most of our clients add additional days to enjoy this heaven on earth, If you also like to add extra days, it is always fine to consult with our guide to stay an additional day at Serang Gompa or further on Ghap 6-7 hours trek.
Day 10: Trek to Lho. (3180 meters.
Now, again, we are back to the regular Manaslu Circuit Trail, and we will trek through the lovely Buddhist villages of Namrung, Lihi, Sho, and finally, Lho Village. One of the most attractive Manaslu views can be seen from this Buddhist village stay overnight at Lho village.
Day 11: Trek to Sama Gaon. (3525 meters)
We will trek, crossing a Buddhist Stupa, toward Shyala, where we will briefly stop quick lunch or tea break, then we will hike to Punggen Tal, Punggen Glacier, Pung Gyen Gompa, and back to Sama Gaon to stay overnight, about 6-7 hour trek.
Day 12: Acclimatization Day at Sama Gaon.
During our acclimatization day, we will hike to Mount Manaslu Base Camp at 4400 meters, where Manaslu Climbers set their base camp for an attempt at to world’s eighth-highest peak. After enjoying Manaslu Base Camp, we will also visit Birendra Tal, one of the beautiful glacier lakes, and finally back to Sama Gaun village to stay overnight, about 5 -6 hours.
Day 13: Trek to Samdo. (3860 meters).
Our Journey led to Samdo village. The trail gradually climbs through the valley and continues to follow the river. The path then gets steeper at the end of the day and reaches the village of Samdu, with Samdu Ri (6335 meters) towering in the east direction. (3 -4 hours)
Day 14: Acclimatization Day at Samdo.
The best option from Samdo is to hike towards the valley in the northeast of Samdo. Side trip to the Tibet border, Lajyung Pass 5120 meters, and back to Samdu. This hike also provides a spectacular view of a towering Samdu Ri (6335 meters), about 7 -8 hours.
Day 15: Trek to Dharmasala. (4460 meters)
The trail gradually descends briefly and then starts to ascend towards the Larke Glacier. The path becomes easier and ends at the start of the next day’s climb at Dharmasala. (3 hours)
Day 16: Cross Larke La (5106 meters) and trek to Bimthang. (3610 meters)
An early start and a gradual ascent into the Larke Glacier only end at the top of the pass. The top rewards with the views of Himlung, Annapurna II, Kangguru, and several other peaks standing above 6000 meters. A steep drop starts on the snow, and later on, the glacial moraine continues for the rest of the day. The descent finally ends with the view of Bhimthang, located on a huge flat ground. (8 to 10 hours).
Larke La Pass 5106 meters.
Day 17: Trek to Dharapani (1960 meters).
The trail quickly drops in and out of a glacier and then starts to drop towards the lower valley through the forest. The path once again follows the river by its banks and finally passes through Surki Khola and Goa while consistently losing more altitude. The path continues to get downhill at Tilche. Now, the Short climbing hill up led us to Dharapani we connected the popular Annapurna Circuit trail and stayed overnight at Dharapani. 8-9 hours.
Day 18: After breakfast, drive to Kathmandu via Besisahar.
After Breakfast, we will drive to Kathmandu via Besisahar with our private Jeep along the Marshyangdi river valley. Following the Prithivi highway toward Kathmandu, about 9-hour drive to Kathmandu, stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 19: Free day in Kathmandu, stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Free day in Kathmandu, enjoy a free day, visiting Thamel, and shopping for souvenirs for friends and family. Also, it is a reserved day for bad weather, and additional days for the Manaslu Circuit trek.
Day 20: Departure.
A representative from Visit Himalaya Treks Pvt. Ltd. will check your flight tickets and transfer you to the airport three hours before your flight, with the hope of seeing you again in the future.
