The walk leads to Sagarmatha National Park, listed as a world heritage site enriched with exotic flora and fauna. The national park with the world's highest mountains Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, and other famous peaks like Ama Dablam, and Mt. Pumori. The name Sagarmatha is for Everest in Nepal, and the local Sherpa is known as Chomolungma of Tibetan origin language. The trek continues heading uphill to the famous Namche Bazaar, the main hub of Khumbu Sherpa’s, as well for trekkers.
An ideal spot for acclimatization and rest days as well as to explore its scenic viewpoints and local impressive cultures. The adventure follows a high scenic trail to Thyangboche, a beautiful place with a majestic monastery. At Thyangboche enjoy a spectacular panorama of the snow-mountain range that surrounds this small settlement, covered in dense tree lines.
At Thyangboche with time to visit the monastery of great religious interest, then on route to Everest base camp. The walk leads to the wonderful places of Dingboche and towards Lobuche, then finally reaching our main highlight at Everest base camp. Enjoy the adventure of a lifetime experience standing beneath the world’s highest Peak Base camp Mt. Everest with adjoining high peaks. Overlooking dramatic views of massif Khumbu Icefall and glaciers, the next adventure leads to the top of Kala Patthar Hill.
Kala Patthar hilltop, the highest point of the journey rewards the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding mountain range with the closest views of Mt. Everest. After completing all major highlights of the adventure, then taking a swift ride on a Helicopter to land at Lukla. We also provide Heli flights continue to Kathmandu at additional cost. From Lukla the next morning a scenic short panoramic flight brings you back to Kathmandu, after a glorious adventure with a wonderful experience on Everest Base Camp trekking via Helicopter.
Nepal for all seasons except for monsoon/summer times of June to August. However, the best time is in spring from March to May, and autumn/fall September to December. One can enjoy trekking in winter times of December to February also.
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu. (1338 meters)
Day 02: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2810 meters) and trek to Phakding. (2610 meters)
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar. (3440 meters)
Day 05: Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar.
Day 06: Trek to Thyangboche. (3860 meters)
Day 07: Trek to Dingboche. (4410 meters)
Day 08: Acclimatization Day at Dingboche.
Day 09: Trek to Lobuche. (4910 meters)
Day 10: Trek to Gorakshep. (5180 meters) Everest base camp Gorakshep.
Day 11: Climb Kala Patter (5643 meters) and back to Gorakshep and Heli returns back to Lukla
Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu.
Day 13: Free day at Kathmandu.
Day 14: Final International Departure.
On arrival in Kathmandu get transferred to respective hotels, after being received by our guide and staff. At the hotel check in to your rooms, getting refreshe and free time at Hotel.
Morning after breakfast, our city guide takes you for an exciting tour around places of great historical and cultural interest. Kathmandu and adjoining cities are steeped with World Heritage Sites, visit of old Durbar Square ancient palace courtyard. Located in the heart of Kathmandu city, and then tour of Swayambhunath Stupa. One of oldest Buddhist monument with 2,600 year old history as well the famous landmark of the country. The tour extends to holy Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, and visit of large Bouddhanath Stupa. After an enjoyable and wonderful tour back to hotel, rest of the afternoon at leisure and preparation for the trek.
For Manthali – Lukla flight: Wake up around 2:30 am, drive to Manthali by Car, Jeep about 4 to 5 hours, and fly to Lukla (20 minutes); Applicable for the peak trekking month of March, April, May, October and November.
For Kathmandu – Lukla flight: Wake up around 5 to 6 am and drive to the domestic airport in Kathmandu for about 30 minutes and fly to Lukla (35 minutes). Applicable for the remaining months, except peak trekking months.
During flight enjoy grand panorama of Himalayan peaks, as plane makes landing at Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla. After a short refreshing time in Lukla, getting organized walk starts heading down to Dudh Koshi River. The trail follows on gradual path through several villages adorned with Buddhist prayer walls and spinning wheels. Then ending the first day walk reaching Phakding village for overnight at Tea House / Lodge.
From Phakding having breakfast, start a long day walk to famous Namche Bazaar a great interesting day. Morning trail leads on gradual path with short ups and down crossing a long bridge to Monjo village. After Monjo enter the Sagarmatha National Park to reach Jorsalle for lunch stop, the last settlement before Namche Bazaar. Having lunch, afternoon walk leads on Dudh Kosi gorge covered in thick forest of rhododendron and pines. Shortly reaching a high bridge to cross, from here on winding undulating uphill path to Namche Bazaar. A large village almost a town, where once a week Saturday market held, hence the name Namche Bazaar. An exciting place and worth spending an extra day to explore around its scenic view-points and the market area. At Namche overnight in a nice lovely lodge facing views of Kwangde and Tharmasarku peaks.
An extra day at Namche Bazaar a perfect place and altitude for acclimatization, spend the morning after breakfast. Take a hike on top of Namche for excellent views of Mt. Everest and Ama Dablam with other giant peaks. Visit the museum of great cultural interest as well history of mountaineering as well of the Sherpa’s.
After Namche having a pleasant time, walk leads on scenic nice gradual trail facing views of snow peaks. Head downhill to a small place of Phunki Tenga, for lunch, afternoon few hours climb to Thyangboche. A beautiful spot amidst forest surrounding where views of snow peaks encircles the Thyangboche and its majestic monastery. Overnight in Thyangboche having time to visit the impressive monastery along with the views.
Morning enjoy the panorama with views of Mt. Everest and Ama Dablam, start walk down to a bridge. From the bridge leaving the lush vegetation and tree lines behind for mountain wilderness of dry, arid landscapes. A slow climb to Pangboche, the last permanent village on route Everest base camp.
From Pangboche a short climb to Somare a small settlement for lunch stop facing close views of Mt. Ama Dablam. Afternoon walk heading east on gradual ups with short descent to a river, crossing a small bridge with steep climb. As walk continues for another hour reaching Dingboche, a large settlement with many good lodges, located on scenic Imjatse valley. Overnight in a lovely lodge with grand views of Island Peak and Ama Dablam North Face.
Another rest day around beautiful location in Dingboche within scenic Imjatse valley. Having breakfast a hike up to Nangkar Tshang hill view point 5616 meters top for stunning panorama of snow-clad peaks that surrounds the valley. Enjoy views as far towards Mt. Makalu and adjoin near mountain range. Rest of the day at leisure and rest explore the Dingboche settlement with view of Island Peak.
After a wonderful rest at Dingboche today distance wise a moderate short walks, but takes time due rise in altitude. Morning climb to a ridge, and then on gentle winding up to Thugla, a small settlement. Where trail of Pheriche and Dingboche joins towards Lobuche and Everest base camp. At Thugla for lunch break, afternoon an hour steep climb to Thugla Pass at 4,750 m high. Having short refreshing stop, walk on easy trail with slow up to Lobuche a small settlement with several nice lodges.
From Lobuche slowly adventure leads towards our main highlights, morning walk follows on a nice wide flat valley. On leaving the valley a short climb leads to moraine of rocks and boulders, walking above Khumbu Ice-Fall. The trail leads to short descent reaching Gorakshep, located on a glaciated valley, beneath towering Mt. Pumori and Kalapathar Hill. Gorakshep in early days was the Everest base camp, before it mover further east. In near future Everest base camp might be back in Gorakshep, to save the base camp to its pristine form.
From Gorakshep heading east on good path climbing over rocks and boulders with ups and down. Finally reaching the highlight of the adventure at Everest base camp, enjoy the dramatic artic like landscapes views. Facing towering peaks of Nuptse and Lhotse with Khumbu Ice-Fall at near distance. The view of Mt. Everest is blocked by adjoining giant peaks, but an enjoyable and exciting scenery. After a great experience back to Gorakshep for last overnight stop around high terrain of Khumbu.
Early morning before breakfast, a few hours steep climb to the top of Kalapathar hill. The highest point of the adventure, rewards alluring panorama of surrounding high mountains with closest views of Mt. Everest. Enjoy overlooking Mt. Pumori and Lingtrin peaks at near distance, then descend back to Gorakshep. Having breakfast in Gorakshep and get ready for a short flight to Lukla on a Helicopter. Exciting views of surrounding peaks with trails and villages down below, after less than 20 minutes flight reaching Lukla. At Lukla transfer into a nice lodge, rest of the day at leisure to explore the streets of Lukla town.
Lukla to Manthli flight– 20 minutes and same day drive to Kathmandu by Car, Jeep about 4 to 6 hours (Applicable for the peak trekking month of March, April, May, October and November)
Lukla to Kathmandu flight – 35 minutes and transfer to hotel which takes about 30 min (Applicable for the remaining months, except peak trekking months).
A free and extra day in Kathmandu as contingency, in case of flight delays that might lead to cancellation sometime. Due to bad unfavorable weather conditions, if all goes well along with the itinerary days, enjoy the day. Relaxing or join in for our of Bhaktapur and Patan cities, well worth a visit.
Last day in Kathmandu and in amazing Nepal, as per your international flight time. Our staff will transfers you to the airport for final departure homeward bound or to respective port of call. After a great wonderful adventure and experience on Everest Base Camp Trekking via Heli.
