FAQs

While the trek is through a relatively hard route, it can be considered a demanding grade Trek, suitable for experienced trekkers or people with good physical fitness with previous high-altitude trekking experience. If you are well prepared and in good shape you can enjoy it too.

Yes, the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Permit (KCAP) and a Restricted Area Permit are compulsory. Our company will arrange all necessary arrangements for the Kanchenjunga Lumba Sumba Pass Trek.  

And finally, the worst option of all; is solo trekking because there are restricted areas and fully guided and Camping is required so this trek is a fully group trek with reputable operators. 

The trail itself has basic tea houses in the Kanchenjunga North Base Camp section but the Lumba Sumba Section does not available a tea house so fully camping is the best way to complete this Kanchenjunga Lumba Pass Trek. The facilities are less commercial. The raw nature adds flavor to the offbeat Himalayan trek.

This trek takes you to one of the most remote areas of Nepal, with limited modern amenities. The remoteness only adds to the experience as it provides a real away from it all, nature and local lifestyle feel.

Electricity is available only in limited amounts (often solar-based, as you move away from urban locations). Because of that, it is better to have a power bank or solar charger if using personal devices.
